The husband and I are off to our 19 week appointment this morning. The exciting day where, if we were like every other normal person out there, would find out the sex of our baby. But no . . . we like to make things very difficult on ourselves (mainly me who is dying to know!) and our friends/family. So, we won't have any thrilling news to share except for a new picture of the baby, whatever he/she may be!
Would love to know if you found out the sex of any of your children. What do you think are the pros and cons of not finding out?

I give people who don't find out the sex so much credit!!! I am WAY too much of a planner to be able to wait, not to mention it would kill me to wait an entire 40 weeks to know if we were having a boy or girl. I think either way it's still a great surprise. You can't describe the feeling of first laying eyes on yoru sweet babe. It's the best feeling in the world!
ReplyDeleteWe elected not to find out with Henry and it was the best decision we ever made. It's one of the only good surprises in life and it's such an amazing moment when you finally find out. It's fun to guess along the way and it's so cool when your husband gets to deliver the news to your family in the waiting room. Gives me chills just thinking about it. It does make planning the room a challenge but I'm personally a fan of more gender neutral baby products/decor any way. You won't regret your decision to wait, promise!
ReplyDeleteThank you girls! We were still fighting about it during the ultrasound yesterday but ultimately decided to hold out, so baby bland is an "it" for awhile longer!
